Creating hyperlinks within pages

    Hey everyone,

I used to write travel newsletters while traveling, which I sent out to an e mail list. Now that I have a blog I am posting them on the blog. Since they are often very long and would “bury” my normal posts, I have decided to create a page to put all of them on the page. (They also break the flow of the blog because they are from a different time period).

Because they are very long, I would like to create hyperlinks within the page to jump to different parts of the newsletter (from the Table of contents), in the way that is possible within a MSWord document. Is this possible within a blog page? As I understand there is no way to make separate posts within a page, it is treated as a whole (so they couldn’t be treated as separate posts and then linked to the different posts.) Is it possible to create hyperlinks within a page as in MSWord?

I read the FAQ on “How to write a book” so I am already aware that that is one possibility.

    Thanks…

This should be doable using “named anchors”. The target of the link should have an anchor tag with a name attribute, like the following:
    [a name="news-part-1"]
The brackets [ and ] need to be replaced with the usual HTML < and >; I changed them here to keep the forum from eating the HTML. :-)

When you create a link to this location, just add #news-part-1 to the end of the URL.
