Creating membership.
-
Hi,
I want to create two kinds of memberships on my site. One for teachers and one for students.
I don’t want the students to be able to communicate with other students. I want them to have exclusive access to teachers only.
Is there a plugin that can help me with that? Also I want the communication to be live, like chatting.
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s not possible to have a memberships required site on the free hosted WordPress.COM blog. You need to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress>ORG install. http://wordpress.org/
For a comparison of WordPress.com blogs to WordPress.org installs see here > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

FTP access and plugins are only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs.
There is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install plugins. There is no upgrade we can purchase that changes that.
You may want to checked out edublogs. http://edublogs.com
Edublogs lets you easily create & manage student & teacher blogs, quickly customize designs and include videos, photos & podcasts – it’s safe, easy and secure so try out an Edublog today!
The site runs on the same software we do here ie. wpMU (wordpress multiuser). However, the site is specifically set up for teachers and students. All edublogs are are advertising free, whereas our blogs here at WordPress.com are not ad-free, unless we buy an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade.
