Creating multiple headers
-
i have a blog, at the moment everything is under home. Every post I have ever done is on the main page when you open my blog.
This works fine, but I want to talk about multiple things. My blog is about travel, yoga and going vegan.
I don’t want them all to be mixed together.
Is there an easy way to split them out?
Maybe have a homepage, then a page where all the posts are about travel, another for yoga and another for Veganism?
That way, everything i write about my travels will be under one header etc etc.
I have been trying to figure it out and i have figured out that I can’t just have a page because you can’t have multiple posts.
I thought that having a custom link page would work but I don’t think that this is the right thing to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated… I want to have 3 separate pages where I can publish multiple posts on the different subjects.
Thanks in advance.

I want to have 3 separate pages where I can publish multiple posts on the different subjects. There are many ways you can have your posts separated , one of the most common ways is to have categories ,
Here is some information on categories
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/You could create categories as Travel , Yoga , etc and
have them on your Primary , you can customize your menu , and have some of them linked to categories .
https://en.support.wordpress.com/advanced-menu-settings/Also there is a way where you can even tag your posts and it would be easy for people to separate out as well , you can have a tags widget , for more information just go through these
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/tags/https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/tag-cloud-widget/
These could hopefully provide you a solution you are looking for .
Also to get more information you could browse throughhttps://en.support.wordpress.com/customize/
Also just for information
https://en.support.wordpress.com/Below on this page you will information on Getting Started , Create , Customize, and Connect which might be of help at initial phases.
Hope this information helps.
Let us know if you need any further information , would be happy to help..! :) -
Thank you so much for your reply. I am such a technical idiot, I don’t know why I even thought this was a good idea. haha
I still don’t get it. Why do I have 2 completely different screens where I can change things. I have a version where the dashboard is all black and then a version where it is all light blue like the word press logo. Where am I meant to change things?
I have changed things on both and it has changed on my website, but now I have just made amendments on the black page and nothing has happened to the website. -

Right,
I now have 3 headers…
Home
Travel & Yoga
My Vegan DiariesI have set it up so any new posts go under the ‘Travel % Yoga’ header, but what do I do when I want to do posts about Veganism?
How can I write a post so it just goes to that area of the blog?
Thanks again… this is driving me crazy but your help is awesome.

Another issue is that I am trying to change which order the headers go, but when I am saving the changes where is says to put them in the order I desire, nothing is happening on my actual webpage…

Hi Again ,
Dont worry Jak , I understand what you are going through , am sure you ll get used to it ones you start getting the hang of it.
About the Blue and and Black Screen , The Blue and White screen is called the Calypso and the Black screen is the WP -Admin , I suggest you use the Calypso here onwards , as that is better version .
Now from what I can see you have set up to more options on your Menu , Which is the Travel&Yoga and also Veganism,
I hope you have set up these 2 and linked them as categories.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/If your Menu and categories are linked correctly you can start organizing your Posts ,
Whenever you add a New Post , you would have choose the categories on the Calypso you would find them on the left hand side here is a link to give you a better Idea , the video will show you details too
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#publish-a-new-postAlso the good news is you can Edit posts and also assign categories so , they can get organized in the right section you want them too.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/Also here is some information for you to get basics started
