creating multiple pages

I’ve done a search and didn’t see this come up in the forum. I just created a domain hosted by wordpress and it currently contains just a bog. My goal had been to create a website with a blog. I want to add multiple pages, but I can’t figure out how to do it. I understand that the quantity of pages is limited based on the template I use. I’ve browsed templates and see many with what seem to be multiple pages (or at least multiple menu items across the top), but when I view them and look at the details, it says the theme I selected only supports 1 menu item. I’ve also tried to search the themes for “multiple pages” but I get 0 results. Am I using the wrong terminology? If not, can I use wordpress to create a multi-page website with a blog?

There is not limit to the number of pages you can create. You can create a custom menu. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ You can then add pages to it > http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-pages-to-your-menu
