Creating my webpage

I was finishing what I thought was my website, having chosen a logo, etc. WordPress asked if I wanted to see the site. When I clicked yes, the “still building” message was shown. When I tried to log back onto WordPress, it does not recognize my username OR password. What’s going on”?

The “still building” is not a message we see on WordPress.COM hosted sites at all. You are posting to the wrong support forum. Your site is not hosted by WordPress.COM and we do not provide support for it. We provide support here only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM and no others.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. Read the differences here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

Thank you timethief (ha, so true); all my confirming emails for the past hour have been from wordpress.com confirming my username and password. I had chosen a $49 theme for photography, filled out the logo, background color, etc. boxes and was told my webpage was ready to view. To reiterate, I cannot see the site, nor perform a successful login. I am completely lost.

Hmmm..I thought it was standard arts.wordpress.com. In any case I’m getting the feeling that this “site” is just for blogging and my actual website has to created through my host, ipage.com. They have confirmed that I am using WordPress for my website but I keep going in circles, only accessing what appears to only be a blog site.. ?

If not then post the URL please.Exactly what is the URl starting with http:// of the exact blog you are referring to. Without knowing where it is hosted we cannot provide accurate answers to any of your questions. iPage hosts WordPress.ORG installs.
