Creating new free WP.com users/blogs via API

  Is there any way to create new free WP.com users/blogs via API?

  We are building a new service that will require us to post content to a user’s blog.

  If they don’t have a blog already we’d like to start one for them on wordpress.com.

  We’d like to be able to do this account creation via API so that we don’t have to make a user go out and procure a blog platform on their own.

  Hi John,

  New users have to create their own accounts/sites directly on WordPress.com. You can direct them to our signup page here for quick access:

  https://signup.wordpress.com/start/

  Once they are signed up and their account is activated, you can use the API endpoints documented here:

  https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/api/

  Thanks. Am I correct that there is no API call that will create a new site for an existing WP.com user?

  That’s right — the user will have to log in and create the new site directly themselves.
