Creating Newsletter

  Hi,

  I’m very new to wordpress and I was just wondering if it was possible to create newletters using it, ones that I can chose when to send out rather than automated notifications of my blog being updated etc. Also does wordpress offer email/newsletter templates. Would i need to download wordpress.org or an you do that using wordpress.com

  No there are no newsletter templates per say here at WordPress.com. There is no FTP access and we cannot upload third party templates/themes into our free hosted blogs.

  There are some Themes (templates) that look somewhat like a newspaper – look in your Dashboard >> Appearance >> Themes and see what you like.

  Don’t get too hung up on the Theme. Content is what counts (as long as your look is not annoying)

  Each time you make a Post an email is sent to anyone that has subscribes by email to your blog – that is why they subscribed – they want to know when you next great Post is Posted.

  Thanks for your help!

  So it probably recommended that i use the software from wordpress.org and do the blog for my own webhost using plug-ins to create newsletters etc
