Creating roles/profiles for users

  I want to essentially create a membership site which will assigns profiles and roles to different members. Members are then able to view pages based on their profiles. The member’s data would be stored in the backend and they are also able to view their profile page. Is this possible?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
