Creating two post columns for two respective categories.

This theme has 3 columns for pictures. I would like to split the page in half so there are two columns on the left (“HIS”) and two columns on the right (“HERS”).

I’d like to assign posts categories of his or her and they will populate to their respective columns.

I wanted to know if I could receive a little help with the CSS for doing this before purchasing the custom CSS upgrade.

    Thanks!!

  • Hi there,

I think that sounds like a cool idea, but to accomplish something like that would require more than just CSS. To do it effectively would require editing the theme’s source code directly, which would require using this theme on a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site.

    Hi Jerry,

Thanks for the response. I bought the css upgrade but I guess from what you are saying it won’t help. Can I create a .org site and use wordpress as a server? Just trying to figure out how to make this blog page possible.

You can not do that here, but you can use any major hosting provider (here are some recommended hosts) to create a self-hosted WordPress site. Most reputable hosts provide a “1 click” installer for WordPress. This guide will step you through the process of moving your blog to a WordPress.org instance:

Moving to self-hosted WordPress is the easier part of this equation. Yoyu may be able to find a pre-existing theme with the functionality you are after, or possibly consider hiring a local WordPress developer.
