Creating web page, already have a blog page

    I need some additional clarity. I have had a WordPress blog page for a few years. I want to create a small business web page now. The blog page will relate to the web page. Should I create an entirely new business web page and then link the blog page to it? Or does it make sense to take the existing blog page and build the web page on top of it?

    Second question: If I do that second option, can I do the building in a “draft” mode that no one else sees until I am ready to release it?

    I would go with the second option. Keeping them separated gives you more flexibility.

    If you want to create your site before going public go to your Dashboard>Settings>Reading and in the option Site Visibility select “I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose”. After you’ve finished building it you can set it back to “Allow search engines to index this site” (Public).
