Creating web site

  We currently have a web site. I would like to create one in WordPress and see if the Board of Commissioners will make the change. I don’t want any links to it yet — I just want to design it. How can I do that without linking it to the public?

  Hi @emeraldlakenh,

  You can start with a free WordPress site from the link down below:
  https://wordpress.com/start/free

  Just follow the guided steps from the link above. Make sure you use the free version of WordPress URL after you have typed in the name for your site as shown below:
  

  Similarly, in the upcoming guided steps when prompted to choose a plan, you should opt for a free plan as shown in the screenshot below:
  

  Once that is done, your site will be by default in a private mode privacy setting which means that your site hasn’t been launched yet. It’s private and only you can see it until it is launched.

  So, you can design and build it taking the time you need and without any fear of it having visibility of public.
