Creating/Saving a New Post Template

    heyas;

    i like indents on my posts, and i found the code to make the posts do that. however, i haven’t found a really convenient place for saving the code — right now it’s stuck in a text widget on my page, where i can quickly copy and paste it to a new post. but it does look dumb there.

    i was wondering if it were even possible to create a custom post template, where every new post would automatically be filled with the desired code to start with? or any other ideas/workarounds?

    thanks!

    Hi. Are you referring to bloodsong.wordpress.com? To my knowledge, you cannot create a post template yourself. Your solution (copying-pasting) is what I do already on my end.

    We cannot create post or page templates that will automatically appear because we cannot access and edit theme files and the underlying template files.

    This is a multiuser blogging platform and in essense all those using the same theme are using the same underlying template. Only Staff cannot edit those files and any editing they undertake affects all files wearing the same theme.

    Simply place the code in a draft post and copy and paste it into each post you create.
