creation date and deletion date of a blog

I believe that posts made in the now deleted blog linked below may have contained information that was plagiarized from me. Is there any possibility of reopening the blog to verify this information? At a minimum, is there a way to verify the creation date and deletion date of the blog?

Someone has flagged this for the staff to help – probably all the info will be creation and deletion date. The data is purged after a few days max. (the blog is zapped almost immediately and the backup tapes are only a few days of history)
Your best bet for content is the Internet Archive or the Way Back Machine or the search engines cache

I also understand that there is a way to transfer ownership of a blog to a different user. If this was done, would it “reset” the creation date of the blog to the date of the transfer, or would there still be a way to find the original creation date?

While there is a way to transfer ownership of a blog to another person, that is only if the original blog owner is the initiator of this process. We do not transfer blogs against someone’s wishes or without their explicit consent.
In regards to your original question, we would not be able to provide any information about the deleted blog’s post. As @auxclass mentioned, your best bet would be to consult one of the publicly-available caching services to see if there had been plagiarism. Even if there had been, the most we would have been able to do is recommend a DMCA request, which would have resulted in the material in question being taken down, which has already happened.

I understand the policy regarding the transferring of a blog, thanks for clarifying. In this case, I wasn’t asking if Word Press would transfer ownership, but rather am wondering what that does to the creation date? In other words, would it still be possible to track down the date the original was first made, or is the blog reset to the date the transfer was made?
In regards to my first question, is it a WordPress policy that you do not give out information about a deleted blogs creation and deletion dates?

Hi,
We are indeed unable to give out any information about a blog to anyone other than that blog’s owner. So I would not be able to provide the blog’s deletion or creation dates to you.
In regards to your other question, the blog creation date stays the same, as do the blog post dates, if the ownership of a blog changes.
