Creator of our website disappeared
-
Hi,
I am helping out my mother Lai Flavia with her B&B website that a company called Bitcaesar / Damn Brick S.r.l. helped create. The company apparently failed or closed down, and we are not able to get in contact with the guy that followed us, Jacopo, during the setting up of the website. We have tried for months and tried everything we could think of, but we are simply not getting anywhere.
We would need your help to gain access to our website (https://www.bbhappyfamily.com) to continue modifying it by ourselves. We have invoices that the domain is ours’ and we claim ownership of the website.
Thanks a lot,
best regards,

we can’t help you as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform, https://digital.com/best-web-hosting/who-is/#search=www.bbhappyfamily.com. You must contact your hosting support to solve this problem.

Hi, thanks for your prompt help. I have checked via Wappalyzer how the website was created, and it shows to be WordPress, even if the domain is purchased by Aruba. I have contacted Aruba’s customer service and they told me to contact WordPress.

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Aruba.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
And, they do have some options for you at https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

Hi everybody,
thanks for all of your answers. Aruba has been again in contact with me, and they guided me via telephone through https://mysql.aruba.it/ that allowed me to change the password to log in on WordPress.
So, problem solved!
Thanks for your inputs!
