  Help – I need to add a credit card and your system say ‘There was a problem with your credit card. Please check your information and try again.’ I have tried different cards and different browsers – still the same thing.

  Hi there,

  Your bank is declining the card when we try to authorise it. Please contact them directly to find out why they’re declining it – usually this indicates your card needs to first be authorised for international/online payments on their end.

  Thanks for your help. I have tried to enter different credit cards and it gives me the same response – There was a problem with your credit card. Please check your information and try again.

  I have called the credit card company and they check it out as fine. I am also able to use it on other websites for purchases.

  Everything on our side looks fine. Is the bank able to see the attempted charge at all? And I would focus on one card at a time rather than trying several, if possible.

  If your bank can’t see the charge at all, would you be willing to test another browser, in case there’s an issue there?

  Hi – Tested another browser and it does not work either. Entered the same card into another WordPress.com account and it works just fine, just not in this one account.

  Please help.

  The only information we have is an error code from our payment processor saying the bank declined the card. So this is coming from your bank.

  You can ask them to check for an authorization attempt at 2020-09-21 04:34:55 (time is in UTC) – that was the last time you attempted to add the card that we made an attempt to authorize it.

  There’s nothing we’re able to do from our end, though.

  Thanks for the help.

  I have another wordpress.com account. I was able to enter the card there. In addition, I called the credit card vender and they do no not have any record of any attempt to enter the card. They sat on the phone with me while I did it and nothing came through on their end.

  I cant add any credit card to this account. It won’t take it.

  Do you have a different card you can try? Your credit card provider is declining the card.

  I don’t think you are reading my comments – I CAN’T ADD ANY CREDIT CARD TO THIS ACCOUNT. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL OF THEM.

  I’m afraid that, as we mentioned above, there’s nothing we can do on our end. The information we receive when authorizing the card is

  The bank returned the decline code do_not_honor.

  I can suggest trying a different payment method, for example, PayPal:
