    Hello there,

    Due to some problems and because WordPress was so kind, I have some credits in my account (an 18 dollar refund).

    When I purchased my premium theme, I expected the funds to be used, but they where not and I still have them. This week I have to renew my ‘no ads’ upgrade and want to use the credits for it. My question is, will they be used automatically for this or do I have to do something? Because for the premium theme they where not used.

    Hi Sonja,

    Can you try manually renewing the No Ads upgrade now with the free credits? It should go through. It won’t automatically use the credits, so please go to Store > My Upgrades in your Dashboard to renew it. You have 18 credits and it’s $30 dollars, so you should only have to pay 12 dollars.

    Hi Grace,

    Thanks for checking this. When I try to renew the No ads manually, I don’t see my credits. What I see is: ‘My shopping card’ with a coupon code box I can fill in, and below it ‘choose a payment option.’ Below that is the conformation button which says ‘renew no ads for 30 usd’. Nothing suggest the 18 usd credits are being used.

    So how do add the credits?

    The odd thing is, when I purchased my premium theme, I could see the credits and they lowered the total amount of the price. But the theme was in euro’s and the credits are dollars and when I wanted to checkout with paypal, there was the amount with no credits again.

    After I paid I checked if I still had the credits (I added another premium theme to my shopping bag to see if the credits would show up, and they did), si I still had the credits.

    Anyway, why don’t I see them in my shopping bag for the upgrade and how do I use them now?

    Hi Sonja,

    Can you try going through with the payment? If it makes you pay I will give you a refund of the 18 credits. I want to see if in the end it allows you to use the credits.

    Hi Grace,

    I just went through with the payment buy using Paypal, because then I can see the check out amount but still be able to abort. The amount is 30 usd. So the credits are not used.

    What can we do? Can you change my credits into a coupon code?

    Hi Grace,

    Something did change now, I do see the credits and it now says ‘renew no ads for 6€, however, if I check out with Paypal, the amount I have to pay is 24€ again (which is 30$). This is exactly what happened when I purchased my premium theme. In the ends, the credits aren’t used.

    Can it be, the problem is my credits being dollars and the amount I pay is euro’s?

    And sorry, but I do want this fixed before I pay the upgrade, because if not, I’m kind of stuck with 18 credits I can’t really use…..

    This may be the issue, and it’s also that your credits aren’t enough for the full price of the No Ads renewal.

    However, no matter what whether it’s via refund or at checkout (which should happen) you should only have to pay for the remaining balance. Unfortunately, I cannot tell if you don’t go through with the purchase. If the credits don’t get applied I can report this to our team as that would be a mistake. However, no matter what you will get your credits returned to you. Please do not worry about that. You will get your 18 credits back.

    If you don’t want to risk any of that, I can send you a manual payment request for the $12. This may bypass any issues between euros/dollars. Let me know which you prefer!

    Hi Grace, thank you for offering me the alternative option, I’ll go for that.

    Of course I know I wont loose the credits and get them returned. But I’m sure the credits are not applied when I check out, so you can report it safely.

    I’m sure because as I mentioned before, the same thing happened when I purchased my premium theme. I saw the credits when I confirmed the order, and in the Paypal checkout there was the normal amount again, so I went back and tried paying with creditcard instead and paid immediately (which I didn’t expected) the full amount without the credits. I can show you the receipt if like.

    So please send me the manual payment request for the no ads upgrade because then I’m no longer stuck with these odd credits. I assume you can see my email adres….

    Hi Sonja,

    It has been renewed. You can view the new expiration date by going to Store > My Upgrades in your Dashboard.
