Crisis – I think my blog has been accidentally deleted
-
I was just trying to change the domain mapping on my blog https://atasteofwintergreen.wordpress.com to my domain name lindymechefske.com (currently a wordpress.org blog that I don’t want to keep using) but instead what happened was that I lost the blog at https://atasteofwintergreen.wordpress.com and it diverted everything to the wordpress.org blog which I no longer want to keep. How do I restore my blog Jam Tart – which was here – and map the domain to lindymechefske.com? PLEASE. PLEASE HELP ME! THANK YOU
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, the good news is that both sites load correctly at their separate designated domains for me.
If you want to map lindymechefske.com to your WordPressdotcom site at atasteofwintergreen.wordpress.com, you will need to upgrade your site to at least the Personal plan. https://wordpress.com/pricing/
You can continue to keep your domain registration with your current registrar, which means that you’ll pay for your domain renewal to your registrar separately. Mapping will be included in your WordPressdotcom plan. The alternative is to transfer your domain to WordPressdotcom and manage it here. The domain cost will be included for your first year and then from the second year you’ll pay for the domain and plan separately. More on this here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

Thanks for this reply – I did find my blog Jam Tart here: https://atasteofwintergreen.wordpress.com/media/
BUT – when I hit the HOME button on Jam Tart – it diverts to my wordpress.org blog called Love in the Kitchen at http://lindymechefske.com/
What I want to do is keep Jam Tart. But I don’t know how to change the code to have the Home page stop diverting to Love in the Kitchen.
Can anyone help me figure this out PLEASE??

Hello again, I’m not encountering the behavior you are describing and the link for the home button and the site header on Jam Tart is https://atasteofwintergreen.wordpress.com/ which is what it should be. I’m not being redirected to lindymechefske.com
This might be a cookie problem Have you tried logging out of WordPressdotcom, clearing your browser cache and cookies (which will also log you out of every other site you are currently logged in on) and then shutting down your browser? Alternatively, visit your site using a different browser or an incognito/private browsing window.
Let us know how that goes.
