The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi funandfact4u!

This is from the WordAds FAQ page, https://wordads.co/faq/.

    Eligibility
Q: I applied to WordAds. When will it be available to me?

A: Our advertisers have a minimum traffic requirement. Once you reach the level they’re looking for, your application will be automatically sent to them for evaluation.

Q: What is the minimum traffic requirement?

A: A site generally needs thousands of pageviews each month to earn meaningful revenue.

They do not mention a specific number of pageviews, so you can always just try to apply if you have a decent amount of pageviews and see what happens.

@funandfact4u Did you see the reply from a staff member when you asked this same question a week ago: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/eligibility-for-wordads-1?replies=3#post-3068280

Yes. But there is no exact number of posts and page views in that reply. My website have almost 1500 views in a month and i have almost more than 20 blogs.

  • Hi there,

We do not give out the number of views you need, but I can tell you that 1500 a month is way too few. With that number of views you’d only make a few cents in income a month, so it’s not really worth it to enroll in WordAds with that level of traffic.

If you’ve already replied, your application will be approved automatically once you reach the required level of traffic, so for now focus on increasing that:

over the years i’ve been working with WordAds, the payout has been… less than spectacular. For example, this past December:

    Period Earnings Ad Impressions
    2017-12 $5.05 11,366

If an ad impression isn’t even worth a penny, I’m not sure I see the point. Is this the experience we can expect going forward? I think a penny per impression is more than fair!

Advertising rates fluctuate constantly. The online ads system is similar to the stock market where advertisers bid in real time. What you earn depends on what advertisers are bidding per impression on your site at any given moment. What they bid is influenced by various factors, including the content on your site, the overall traffic of your site, where the person viewing your site is located based on their IP address, etc.

Added to this there are now so many sites online that show ads, there’s essentially more ad space available than advertisers need. So naturally they don’t have to bid as much, as there’s less competition for ad space as there were when there were fewer websites. And this is true for all online advertising, not just WordAds.

We would love to be able to tell you this is the amount you earn per impression, but online advertising just doesn’t work like that.
