Critical error

When I try to login to WordPress for our website I get an error message saying ‘There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’ I get the email but it doesn’t tell me how to get past the error message. It’s urgent that I update one of our pages on the site. How do I login or correct the error?
