  • Hi there,

When I put findjamesavery.com through debug, I did receive quite a few failed tests:

    https://jptools.wordpress.com/debug/?url=http://findjamesavery.com

While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:

    http://findjamesavery.com/xmlrpc.php

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:

XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

You can see a working example here:

    http://jetpack.com/xmlrpc.php

To resolve this issue, please check the following:

    1. Confirm you see an /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP, since you’re unable to access your site via your admin panel. If you’re not sure how you’d do this, get in touch with your webhost’s customer support and they should be able to assist. If you don’t locate an xmlrpc.php file, please try reinstalling WordPress by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page, and clicking the “Reinstall WordPress” button.
    2. Check for any security plugins that may be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file. If you have any installed, please disable them and check to see whether the site loads afterwards. You should also check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file. Again, if you’re not sure how to go about checking your .htaccess file, your webhost’s customer support should be able to assist.
    3. Does your webhost block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I recommend reaching out to your host; ask them to allow Jetpack to access xmlrpc.php.

Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, you will be able to connect Jetpack to WordPress.com.

If you continue to have issues, I would reach out to the Jetpack team, as they would be better positioned to assist you with the issue you are having:

    https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/

    Hope this helps.
