Critical Error

    I logged into my WP site and was met with a white screen and in the left corner it said there was a critical error on my website. Then were was a link to an article about debugging in WordPress. But I can’t access my site so I can’t debug anything.

    @kimberlypoulton,
    You are probably experiencing “White Screen of Death” WordPress error which is almost always caused by PHP code errors or memory limit exhaustion. Another possible cause is a faulty theme or plugin.

    This would be a rare case if you are hosting your site on WordPress.com with any of the following plans:

    • Free
    • Personal
    • Premium

    My guess is that you are probably using open-source WordPress.org software hosted on the third-party hosting provider, however, I would have determined that if you had shared the link of your site.

    In case your site using open-source WordPress.org software hosted elsewhere, you should ask for help in the following forum:
    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    This forum is only for sites hosted with WordPress.com.

    Hope this helps.

    Best,
    Sunil Chauhan

    My site is hosted through Bluehost. I apologize, I didn’t realize this was the wrong place to go for help.
