Critical Error
-
I’ve been getting a ‘There has been a critical error on your website’ message since last night. However, I’m not getting an email to access recovery mode, and I can’t access anything else – codes, plugins, updates… I’m basically locked out of my website. I’m stuck. Any ideas on how to get in to change anything and fix this error?

Hi there, sorry to hear this! I think you might have the wrong forums, since we take care of management for the sites hosted here.
Did you mean to post here?
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/A few ideas though:
– Read the email to see if it has clues– Ask your host to check error logs
– If this happened with a recent theme or plugin update or install, you can manually remove that:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/managing-plugins/#manual-uninstallation– Ask your host to help you restore a good backup
Going forward, you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations. Or, you’d be welcome to migrate your site to our services. You can find our pricing here:
