Critical error after migrating site

    Hello, trying the wordpress.com hosting with an auto migrated site from wpengine. There seems to be an unidentified critical error when attempting to modify the site after using the all in one migration method via jetpack.

  • Hi there @info4e6a78f5316, it looks like your migration brought over a number of must-use (mu) plugins from WP Engine. While they are must-use on WP Engine, they should not be used on WordPress.com. Since they are mu plugins you won’t be able to remove them via your dashboard.

    I went ahead and removed them for you via SFTP. I’ve circled in red below the WP Engine-specific plugins I removed:

    I also removed the _wpeprivate folder and deactivated the Cloudflare plugin, which was also throwing errors. We already have many of the features offered by Clouflare built right into WordPress.com, including caching and a CDN. If you still want to use Cloudflare on WordPress.com, please see this guide to learn how to set it up.

    I’m no longer seeing any fatal or critical errors on the site.

    Thank you, that seemed to help. The site seems to be loading well.

    Regarding the configuration of jetpack addons with the business hosting plan:

    Some jetpack menu items like “backup” are inaccessible from the control panel when clicked on and other links when clicked ask for a paid upgrade like “boost”.

    If these items are being managed as part of the wp.com hosting where does access them?
