‘Critical Error’ Message
-
Hello, I am trying to log into my site, and it says there is a critical error, learn more about debugging. However, my email address (and all other email addresses associated with our organization) are somehow not linked with our WordPress website, so we’re not able to address this issue. There’s no way for us to access the backend of our site right now. Please contact me directly– this is urgent!!

We are having the exact same issue. We are a real estate company and our site is not working so were a little panicked. Tried customer support and had to leave a message.

Hi,
we won’t be able to advise without knowing the addresses of your sites but since neither of you has a WordPress.com site under your account, you’re probably using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with another company.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
