Critical error message and I don’t know what to do

  • Unknown's avatar

I have received the ‘critical error with my website’ message and the jetpack debug says, ‘XML-RPC is not responding correctly ( 500 ).’ After looking into it as much as I know how (I am a first-time web page designer), I couldn’t resolve the issue. I went to disable my plug-ins to find that I don’t even have any plug-ins. I am really lost at the moment and would appreciate if someone could hold my hand through this experience. Thank you and I look forward to your reply.

    UPDATE:

I have my WP site through Bluehost. There, I turned off all of my plug-ins and I still received the critical error message. I’m totally lost.
