Critical Error, Site and backups are broken

    This site is running on EasyWP monthly if it helps point me to the right place for support. On 1/11 my site received a critical error that fundamentally broke it. I was able to initially restore a backup, but that backup and all the others are bugged. The plug-ins wouldn’t update, the stylesheets weren’t being included and the admin side of the site was not functioning. After trying to restore an older backup, the site and admin side are now stuck on critical error. There was initially an email prompting the special recovery admin page on 1/11 but the link was expired when opened and no more have been sent. I was looking for a phone number to reach but I’m not sure if its available on my plan. Any help would be appreciated. At this point I don’t mind having to reset the whole site to get it running again, but I don’t want to do that incorrectly myself. Thanks in advance.

  • Hey there, can you reach out to EasyWP? It sounds like that’s a managed hosting service (we are too, but a different one) and they should be able to fix that for you.

    Going forward, these forums are primarily for sites that use our free-tier hosting as well as any of our paid users who just feel like using public support instead of our direct help options. So on your site, for any WordPress support your host does not include, you’ll want to create an account at WordPress.org so you’ll have access to the correct community for your site. And if you’d like to move here, you’d be welcome of course.
