Critical fixes
-
My website davidscott.ie is running slowly. Site Health states the following: 1. The REST API enountered an error. 2. The site could not complete a loopback request. 3. Page Cache is detected but server response time is slow.
Also the following:
The Optimal Module ‘imagick’ is not installed or has been deleted
Outdated SQL server
You are accessing this website using HTTPS, but your WordPress Address and Site Address are not set up to use HTTPS by default
Can you address any of these issues and fix them for me? If not, who should I contact?
Thanks

Hey there David, most of these sound like hosting issues. We can certainly take care of them if your site is hosted here with us, in fact we tend to preemptively optimize for you. But you’re running your own copy of WordPress with another host. Here’s the difference between the free software and our managed services.
For these types of server optimization issues, I’d recommend contacting your hosting company first. They can also help you get SSL installed and configured for your site. You’ll want to be sure to update your site URL as well once that’s installed.
Going forward, these forums are primarily for sites that use our free-tier hosting. You’ll want to create an account at WordPress.org so you’ll have access to the correct community for your site.
Or, you’d be welcome to host here; your plan would get direct support, free SSL, Jetpack backups, spam filtering, and more. Let us know if you have questions about our services!
