Critical Site Health Issue

  This issue is showing up in my Site Health review but no suggestion how to fix the problem. Please help.
  Message:
  Background updates ensure that WordPress can auto-update if a security update is released for the version you are currently using.

  Error The folder /home/wp_ukthdp/appalachiabare.com/ was detected as being under version control (.git).
  Passed Your installation of WordPress doesn’t require FTP credentials to perform updates.
  Passed All of your WordPress files are writable.

  Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on our servers at WordPress.com.

  Please ask the WordPress.org community for advice instead. They provide support for the version of WordPress you’re using:
