Critical Slowdown When Publishing Pages

  Hello,

  Since late 2024 our team has had issues when publishing pages. As part of our process, we will open each page in this edit view (pictured below) to QC it, and then publish. Previously, we could open 20-30 of these and save them with no slowdown. Compounded across 50 to 100 pages, a task that previously took us a few minutes is now taking upwards of an hour.

  

  We have worked with our internal team for months to try and fix the issue. We have tried Google Chrome and Edge, both with and without any extensions. We have tried on workstations with 16GB RAM, and 64GB with no difference in speed. We have tried on a workstation with a completely fresh Windows installation and nothing but a browser installed, and the issue persists.

  We are using the Beaver Builder theme, and I have submitted a ticket to them as well with no progress. I am suspicious that our issue is related to what many users have reported in this thread: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/desktop-site-no-longer-facilitates-editing/#post-4065487 due to the timeline.

  Have any other users experienced this slowdown publishing pages? Or does the WordPress team have any suggestions? Thank you.
