Cropping a photo
-
I want to crop a photo in one of my posts, but when I go to media, click on the photo then hit edit, there is no option to crop/rotate/etc
I’ve searched the web for a reason, but everything I read tells me editing options should pop up as soon as I hit edit?!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Highlight the image in your Media library and after clicking “edit” there will be another “edit image” button to click on. Then you can rotate, crop etc. Personally I find it easier to edit an image directly in the post rather than via the Media Library.

When I click on the photo within the post, I have the ability to edit the size or dimensions. No options to crop/rotate etc.
When I highlight the image from the Media library and hit edit, when the sidebar pops up there is no secondary edit button. My only options are Title, Caption, Alt text, Description, URL, File name, file date, Dimensions, and Upload date. That’s it.
Is there something elsewhere I need to enable? Could it be because I’m working with a free site?

I’m sure having a free site or not makes no difference. Maybe you can’t rotate an image when you’re working on it in a post in the Block editor but you certainly can via the Media Library. The “edit image” button with a pencil at the side of it should be in the middle of the screen. Perhaps you just need to refresh your browser or even try a different browser as perhaps everything isn’t loading correctly.

I got it!! I went to the dashboard and hit WP Admin and that link is allowing me to do all the editing :) :) :)
Thanks for your help!
