Cross-post to Tumblr hasn't worked for two weeks

Am I the only person experiencing this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. My last post on Thursday still posted to Tumblr correctly.
For older posts there’s nothing that can be done – you’ll have to share them manually – but for your next new post, make sure Tumblr is selected under your Publicize options before you publish the post. If you’re using the new editor, the Publicize options are under Sharing in the left sidebar.
If it still won’t post, you can try removing and reconnecting Tumblr under Settings ->Sharing in the dashboard. Be aware of the following, however: another volunteer pointed out to me a while ago that Tumblr apparently don’t support importing RSS feeds anymore, so it’s apparently not possible to connect new sites via Publicize. I haven’t tested it myself, but this particular volunteer usually knows what she’s talking about, so after disconnecting Tumblr you might not be able to reconnect it.

I have had intermittent trouble with this in the past. Sometimes it seems to disconnect itself and need reconnecting. In the meantime I have posted to Tumblr manually. I have seen this issue on other platforms also with other social platforms and have not found out why it happens. Maybe it’s when the API code is updated.
-
I’ll tag this for staff in case they have more information on this issue, or else to make them aware of it.

Hi there, another one with the same problem, but if I modify whatever post it will go to Tumblr as a new entry :-O
Meanwhile I have to do it in manual mode with every post :'(
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi All,
I just tested the Tumblr connection through Publicize and was able to connect a new site and the post was published correctly to Tumblr.
Please try to disconnect and reconnect Tumblr via the sharing settings. We are using the newest API so you will be able reconnect.
If you’re still having trouble please post a link to a post which failed to be sent to Tumblr and we’ll take another look.

Hi bdukes, thanks for your help. After reconnect Tumblr (old interface) my new post it doesn’t publish anything in Tumblr. Tomorrow (with the next scheduled post) I will test again but now reconnecting Tumblr from new interface (as you say)…
Apologies I can’t upload screenshot.

I thought I had disconnected and re-connected before, but decided to try again.
To clarify: sharing to Tumblr has worked absolutely fine for a few years. It just suddenly stopped a bit over two weeks ago. I double-checked all my settings when I noticed, and nothing seemed to work. So now, every day, I check a few hours after a post goes up to see if sharing to Tumblr worked, and when I see that it hasn’t, I manually do it.
I disconnected from my tumblr yesterday. Then reconnected. Then I checked to make sure that the Tumblr checkbox under Publicize was checked, and it was.
Today the scheduled post was posted. It did not share to Tumblr. When I checked the settings, the Twitter checkbox is greyed out but checked (and it did post to Twitter), which I assume is meant to tell me that it has already posted to Twitter.
The Tumblr checkbox is unchecked. I have tried checking the checkbox and clicking Update. All that happens is the Tumblr checkbox unchecks itself. The post that has failed to publicize to Tumblr after I unlinked and relinked is:
The Best Kind of Books Are Magic Books – more of why I love sf/f

hi @fontfolly,
I just took a look at the Publicize connection for Tumblr everything seems to be connected correctly on our end. I also see the post you mentioned was published to Tumblr at:
http://fontfolly.tumblr.com/post/121886596360/the-best-kind-of-books-are-magic-books-more-ofDid you manually publish this post to Tumblr? If so, next time can you leave the post unpubished so we can take a look.
Thanks.

Yes, I manually cross-posted about 8 hours after the original scheduled post. That is not what the automatic cross posts look like.
This morning’s scheduled post went up, and it publicized to Twitter, but not to Tumblr:

Hi @fontfolly,
I have looked into our records and do see that post failed to be sent to Tumblr. I let our developers know who are taking a look. I do have a couple more questions to help them out.
– Does posting to Tumblr always fail or does it work randomly?
– Do you have another Tumblr or test account you could use?
– Have you recently changed your Tumblr password?
– Has anything else changed in the past 2 weeks on your end? -
-since I’ve noticed the behavior, it has failed every time.
-I don’t have another Tumblr at the moment. I could make one and attempt that.
-1Password informs me I haven’t changed my Tumblr password since March 2012… and yes, the one in 1Password does let me log in. I hadn’t realized it had been quite that long since I changed it, but I’ll leave it for now.
-For my WordPress site, I’ve just been posting new posts. I haven’t even changed themes since last Christmas. Once I noticed that it wasn’t publicizing, I started looking through those settings and disconnecting, reconnecting. But that was after it started.
-My computer and my iPad (the two machines I post from and access WordPress admin functions from) have had the usual automatic app updates. Particularly on iOS there are app updates almost every day. But I don’t think anything except the WordPress app should have any impact on this. Right? -
Follow-up:
When it still wasn’t working Friday, I disconnected the Tumblr account again, logged out of Wordress, then logged back in, tried connecting again. Entered my Tumblr username and password. Got the connected message again. I set up a post and scheduled it for Saturday.Come Saturday, the post published, but it did not publicize to Tumblr.
So I created a second Tumblr account, went back into WordPress, disconnected the old Tumblr account, connected the new account, was asked for user name and password, et cetera, and repeated the process for the old account. I created a post and scheduled it to post on Sunday.
The post just went live, and it publicized to both my old Tumblr account and to the brand new one.
So either I had to disconnect and reconnect several more time before it actually took, or getting the new account in the mixed changed things, or someone fixed something in the background.
But the problem may have gone away.

Hi fontfolly,
Glad you were able to get this resolved. Thanks for the update too, I was able to let our developers know what you did to get it to work. This will let us take a look to see if there is something bigger going on with Publicize.
If you have any other issues let us know.
-
It appears I spoke too soon. It did not work with today’s post:
Argh!
-
Thanks for following up, @fontfolly. I have confirmed you’re getting the same error as before.
have reported this to our developers and we have a open report. For now, there is nothing more we can do except wait until we here back from the folks who work on Publicize.
