Does anyone know if you can put a CrowdFunding or GoFundMe link on a free or a paid version of WoordPress ?
Thank You,

If it is just a link to either of those sites, there shouldn’t be an issue and it doesn’t require that you upgrade to a paid plan. Can you give a little more detail about what it is you intend to do?

Hi justjennifer,
I guess it would be more than a link. I am trying to raise money for a paid version of my podcast host which is Buzzsprout currently I use a free version and after three months they delete my podcast and also the online software editing program which needs to be renewed for the year. I use through NCH. What it entails is people being able to donate through for example PayPal which would go to my account.

A PayPal donation button is fine.
Have a look here and let us know if you have any other questions:

One other thing you should be aware of is that certain types of “embeds” won’t work here due to the coding restrictions we have in place. https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ So for some sites a plain link to a donation page on another site might be your only solution.

Thank you for all the help. One last question in order to use a PayPal button or embed a link I’m assuming this is only possible for a paid account not the free one I have.
Again thank you all the feed back is very much appreciated.

You don’t need a paid account to add a PayPal donation button to your WordPressdotcom website.
You’re welcome and best wishes.
