Crowd Sourcing Posts

I’m working on a project where people can submit and automatically publish questions/posts on my blog anonymously without me having to post their submissions through a contact form (I don’t have time to create x number of posts/day). Is there any way to do this? I’m currently using the SPUN theme.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • The only way others can post on your blog is if you add them as authors under the “Users” heading on your dashboard. This way it won’t be possible for them to do so anonymously.

You could probably also try the “Post by email” feature. After setting up the address you could post in on a page and others will be able to send posts to the blog using that email. I suppose in that case all posts will appear under your username.

Keep in mind that if you use this ANYONE will be able to post to your blog without approval, including spammers and spambots, so I won’t recommend it at all. Besides, I see there is nothing yet on your blog, which implies no followers, so how exactly do you plan on attracting contributors to your blog? Rather focus on creating quality original content and build a following the traditional way.

In short: There is no way to do this at WordPress.com without the VIP upgrade. And that costs $30,000.

To do it at WordPress.ORG it still costs a shit-ton of money for security and tech support and design. What you want is not easy or free.

If you don’t want to write a blog, either pay people to blog for you or don’t have a blog.
