Crowdsignal Poll Popup

    Hey,

I’m following this guide, to add a Website Poll Popup.
Using the shortcode block, than simply copying the code from the Crowdsignal Website.

Issue is that it doesn’t show a popup and just displays/embeds the poll onto the page rather than a popup like I want it and like the guide.

    Code gets copied
    Displayed on Website

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Seems to be working on pages created the website popup appears. But if using the site editor and adding the shortcode block in templates section for example a front page template, it simply embeds the poll onto the page and not actually appear as a popup like how I want it.

Any details or information regarding this issue?

  • Hi there,

We’ve reported this issue to our developers so they can investigate. It is our understanding that the shortcode does work correctly when entered on the page or post level, but there is not proper support for it to work within the template editor at this time.

As a workaround you may be able to display the poll within the page template as a standard embed. Also as noted the poll can be added to pages and posts and will work correctly as a popup there.

We do not have an estimate on when this will be addressed but we are happy to update you as soon as we know more. Thanks for your patience!
