crowdsignal polls
-
When I post a poll on my blog, the dots for voting do not line up with the text. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi there. Thanks for the quick response! I haven’t published the post, but here’s a link to the preview: https://jodihausen.wordpress.com/?p=658&preview=true

It probably has to do with the vertical alignment but we don’t seem to be able to get to the code to fix it. The answer to my first question is three lines, the second two and the last two are one. So it seems to be lining up with the second line and formatting all the lines similarly.
When did WordPress go to using Crowdsignal for polls? Maybe you were all along, but I didn’t have this problem when I’d done polls in the past.
Thanks for your help!

Actually, I spoke too soon. I looked back at my previous polls and the problem exists there too. I guess it just wasn’t as much of an issue then or I’ve become more of a perfectionist — Yikes! Thanks again.

Crowdsignal was previously called Polldaddy, maybe that’s why the name doesn’t ring a bell.
So this is how I see the results on your post: https://d.pr/i/2AL7dx
It looks like the text and the bullet points are not aligned.
Could you edit the style of the poll in CrowdSignal and choose Wide instead of Medium? https://d.pr/i/gmTUVQ
This is the recommended size for blog posts.Let me know if the issue disappears after changing the size of the widget.

Hi again,
I tried it in all three widths and it doesn’t make a difference. And, yes, that is the problem I am seeing too. Here’s a link to the preview in the wide mode: https://wordpress.com/block-editor/post/jodihausen.wordpress.com/658
Polldaddy, right.
Thanks and happy holidays!

Thanks for the details. I’ve been testing this on my site and couldn’t reproduce it until I changed the style to “Tech Grey” – the one you’re using now, or “Tech Dark”. Could you try to choose a different styling to the poll and see if that works?
If that the case, this would be a bug and I’ll report it to our developers. -
Nope. Same problem. I appreciate your sticking with me on this. Hope you had a nice holiday (if you celebrate that sort of thing …)

Oddly enough, there appear to be more style problems too, like I’m noticing when you hover over the Vote button, it’s just supposed to change colors, not do this vertical scroll thing. Consider me officially confused.
That “Plastic” is one of our oldest styles, a Polldaddy original, many years before it became Crowdsignal.
Do you have any trouble if you change the poll’s style to either Plain Light, Blue Grey, Mint Green, or Ruby Red? These are the new styles made specifically for Crowdsignal.

Hi there, Macmanx,
Did you do something to the poll? It looks better. Not perfect, but I’ll take it. I forgot to send you a link, but it appears you found it. Should I still try with the other formats as you suggested?
I hate to ask this question as I’m afraid of the answer … I’m using the Hemingway theme which does not appear to be a theme offered anymore (although I haven’t really noticed any issues with it — except for this poll thing). Could that be a reason it’s not working properly?
Anyway, thanks for your support and best for the New Year!

Hi there,
It may have something to do with having an outdated theme. Hemingway is indeed retired, but have you considered moving toHemingway Rewritten?
