  i am trying to figure out how to change the theme on my blog. it seems that wordpress only has like 60 themes, is that correct? someone forwarded me the http://themes.wordpress.net/ link, but i can’t figure out how to get one of the themes on my webpage. please help!

  We can’t upload new themes on wordpress.com, you can only use the themes that are available on the Design>Theme page.
