CSS Beginner

  Hi,

  I am just beginning on wordpress and I am clearly quite the ignorant beginner.

  I have begun to build a basic wedding website and I am trying to do 3 things:
  1. change the white text body from solid white to semi-transparent black so that the background can be seen through it. In other words, I want the white block that the main text goes on to be transparent.
  2. Move the title words that are in front of the picture either higher up on the picture or lower so that the words aren’t blocking the faces in the photo.

  Can anyone help me out with this? If you are able to provide help, please instruct me as if I were a 5 year old. Because that is basically my level of CSS understanding.

  Thank you for the response! I hired a friend for about 1and1/2 hours to teach me some basics. One result of my process: a much greater appreciation for those who know how to code :)
