CSS changes for Autofocus

Sorry I’m completely clueless with CSS, I’m just trying to get rid of the column of copy that reads:

“This entry was published on October 30, 2012 at 8:20 pm and is filed under Uncategorized. Bookmark the permalink. Follow any comments here with the RSS feed for this post.”

that appears to the right on my posts.

Also would like to eliminate the gigantic header that appears above or below each of my posted images. Want to just have the uncropped image in a blank space. Even the “Like” and “Reply” windows could go.

I just bought the custom upgrade so can edit the CSS and managed to remove the post dates on the front page. That was awesome, but I’m still fairly clueless.

Anyone out there can help? Much appreciated!

I checked one of the posts on your blog at http://huntermountain.wordpress.com/2012/11/28/104/ and I don’t see that column so it appears you were able to remove it.

I did notice that you copied the entire original stylesheet into your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor. If you just paste in the updated CSS to that page instead of pasting the entire stylesheet, it will make your custom CSS much, much easier to work with and to troubleshoot.

The Like and Reply sections can be removed using settings. You can turn off likes and sharing from the Settings → Sharing page and you can disable comments by editing each post and unchecking the “Allow comments” checkboxes. You can also set the default for new posts to disable comments using the options on the Settings → Discussions page. Also see http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

I also noticed that your images themselves have a lot of white space in the image itself. So some of the extra spacing you’re seeing is probably there because of how the images themselves are saved.
