CSS changes on its own
-
Individual posts look fine but the posts page which displays all the post one below the other is totally different.The font size is decreased so much that it looks tiny for reading. When I click on individual posts they look good. The same with categories page. The collection of posts under a category gets displayed in very tiny fonts. i am using the Academicia free template for wordpress.com
please tell me if I upgrade to wordpress.org, will I be able to control the way the posts page look?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Most likely this is a CSS conflict, but I’m not seeing this issue on any of the pages I navigated to on your site. Can you provide a specific link to a page where you are seeing this issue?

Hi andrew,
Try this link, which is the direc tlink to a post.
http://adakshinamurthy.wordpress.com/2013/07/13/kurunthokai-poem-126/Now check the following “posts page” which has all the posts displayed in the same page. Check for the same poem, “kurunthokai-poem-126”
You will see that the font is very small. -
sorry missed the link,

Also a specific post “http://adakshinamurthy.wordpress.com/2013/07/13/kurunthokai-poem-93/” retains its style and size even in the “posts page”. When the Text tab is checked for the code in the editor it has <span> tags on every line with font-style definition and <p>. I don’t know how this can happen. I just copy pasted the contents from the MSWord for every post with the same style and size.

Ahh, there’s your issue; pasting from Microsoft Word will always lead to random issues, as that’s what’s generating the bad HTML. Take a look at the following article for more info:
You’ll want to re-copy the text in the post with the “large font” using the instructions outlined in that article.
I temporarily activated the theme on my site, and it appears that the “small font” is the default. If you prefer the larger text and you have the custom CSS addon, you can add something like the following to make the font look similar to that post across the board:
.posts .post, .posts .page { font-family: Baskerville, "Baskerville Old Face", "Hoefler Text", Garamond, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 16px; }
