CSS code for location.
-
Ohhhhhh Gawd, it is him again!
Each time I create a post, I have to manually put in my location, El Reno, Oklahoma. I would like to place a piece of code in my customizer that would do this for each post and relieve me of having to input it each time.
Can this be done?
Thanks ahead of time,
Don Smith

Hello Don!
I’m going to suggest you try the Copy A Post option.
It takes much work to get a post just right. Why not reuse that effort? Copy A Post lets you duplicate a post, including the title, contents, tags and categories, so you can start a new post without having to re-enter tags, categories and formatting.
I don’t know if it also applies to the Location field, but it’s worth a shot. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Nice try but no cigar. It comes up “New York City” and requires you to manually change it.
Which is what I am trying to avoid.
It has to go in the customizer/CSS (in written code) in order to work, copying a post simply will not work.
Thanks for your input.

Hello,
When I tried it, I got the “New York City” as well, but with a “Locate” or “Get Current Location” button (depending on which post editor I used) near the box. When I clicked that, it pulled up my city (well, the one 10 miles away, but closer to me than NYC). -
When I do this, it puts me in Oklahoma City and not El Reno. The problem has still remained the same. I do not want to manually input this data every time I post, with a CSS Code it would “automatically fill it in” and I would not have to mess with it.
So the problem still remains the same.
Thanks,

Hi Don.
Css can be used in order to change yous posts/pages aspect and eventually to add little invariable pieces of content. But, this is important, css applies to the visualization, not to the content itself (the post).
Consequently css could help, for instance, if you would like to add “Proudly made in El Reno, Oklahoma” at the beginning of your meta line (the one with date, categories and tags). Is it something like that what you want?

Thank you for the help. I will just tell it to find the nearest location and move on.
You can lock this up or close it. My question has been answered and I now understand. Thanks again.
