CSS Customization off Kilter

  • Unknown's avatar

About a month or so ago, when I went to the CSS editor for BCphotoadventures.wordpress.com, the cursor did not align with the rows of the CSS lines. I had to copy and past the code into a temporary document, make the changes I wanted, then paste the new, revised code back into the CSS editor on wordpress.

What happened, and can someone fix it? This is, as you can imagine, a real pain, especially when we are traveling and time is short.

Thanks for nay help you can give. I have always found this forum to be terrific in the past.

    Take care,

What browser and browser version are you using?

Did you try logging out, clearing the browser cache and cookies, restarting the browser and then trying again to see if things were in alignment?

I’m so glad you answered. You have always been especially terrific and diagnosing these things.

Every time I exit my browser (Google Chrome), I empty out the cache and cookies. Also, I have used Google Chrome before when there was no problem. The computer has even been rebooted numerous times, and this happens both on my laptop and desktop.

It is a puzzle and most inconvenient, although as indicated in my original message, there is a work-around.

    Thanks,

Google chrome has such a break-neck development cycle (6 weeks between major releases), that in my experience there is always something with it that causes problems. I’ve actually moved all my client’s off of it because I was continuously having to try and diagnose issues.

Try a different browser such as Firefox and I think you will see that the problem goes away. You can then wait a little until Google catches up with the latest bugs they introduced and switch back if you wish, but keep Firefox on your system so that you can switch back to it the next time Google releases some bugs.

I’ll give it a try and let you know so that it will help others.

    Take care, and thanks,

You are welcome. I hope Google gets their act together. This is happening far too often the past 6 months or so.

Yes, that did the trick. I have switched back to Firefox!

Glad that is working for you.
