CSS customization options

Hello – I would like to customize my blog as follows (see below) and would like to know if I can do all these things through custom CSS. Thankful for a response!

-change post font to Times New Roman
-change header and sidebar fonts to Arial
-turn all text black, including posts and sidebars
-change font sizes for posts and sidebar

-clickable custom header (no other title)

    -background color for featured post
    -background color for blockquotes

-remove post dates (going for more of a website than blog)
-remove post comments and also the “comments off” note (ditto)

    -remove assorted decorative lines
-remove the background color for pages

-adjust width, both entire width and sidebar width

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to the blog linked to your username which is wearing the Twenty Eleven theme or not? If not, then we need an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question.

Here’s some general information on the custom design upgrade and CSS editing. All CSS editing is theme specific at WordPress.com. When you alter a theme’s stylesheet, you only need to put in the Editor the modification/additions to the CSS, not the entire thing. Read this for more info:
http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/ The tool you need is:
    Firefox, install Firebug.
Internet Explorer, install the Developer Toolbar.

Yes! – I have been switching between the Twenty Ten and Twenty Eleven themes as I don’t know which theme would be the best starting point for my changes! Thank you for stopping by so superfast!!

My question is if the above changes can be done via CSS or if I should consider another option. Is there anything that is not covered via CSS?

Also, if anyone has any recommendations as for which theme to start out with, I would be happy to hear that. I have tried several themes, but it takes some time to figure out just how they are composed…

All those changes can be made via CSS.
