CSS customizations lost in new theme

@thesacredpath, thanks – We still don’t see any CSS revisions in the new CSS page layout. We’ve run into some other issues with the custom header, so I think we may be moving on to yet another new theme. Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it.

Staff seems to have done a redirect on the CSS tab in the custom design window. That is not a good thing as the revisions are now (as you have discovered) gone. I will check into this.

There will be, in the near future a direct way to access the revisions within the new customize page and it will eventually be rolled into the “snapshots” feature. In the meantime, you can access your CSS revisions by putting this behind the main URL of your site (the WordPress.com base URL, not the mapped URL).

This is incredibly helpful, exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much for your generosity of time and spirit in helping me sort this out. I really appreciate it.

You are welcome, and I too had a stake in this as I like the old editor page. I’ve not completely warmed up to the new one yet. I like more real-estate and I definitely like being able to get to the revisions.

I agree – I’m missing the old editor page, too. I like having ready access to all of the details.

I like the new customize page, and once they get the revisions stuff accessible in some fashion, I can use it, but it will take some getting used to the smaller format. Given most CSS declarations are very short, there isn’t really a need for such a wide space.

That’s all true – It’s having access to the revisions that is really throwing me off…Rather, it was, but now we can see them again. Thanks!

It’s helpful to see when people post about wanting better access to the revisions. Other people should please keep adding comments with their reasons for wanting it back if they find this thread—I am keeping an eye on these types of requests so I can report back to the developers about it.
