Hi there!
Instead of using the Site Title, you could create a Header Image using your blog picture as the A and upload it into Customize > Header Image.
After looking at the example site you shared, it seems like you might be best served by switching themes to one that has a layout more like that one.
Maybe one of these would work:
Canard: https://wordpress.com/themes/canard/
Zuki: https://wordpress.com/themes/zuki/
Baskerville: https://wordpress.com/themes/baskerville/Or if none of those is quite right, you can browse all of the Magazine-style themes here: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/magazine/
Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Hi! Thanks for the reply- I have changed my theme. Is there a CSS to move my title to the middle and have the menu titles smaller and match the size of font my header is?

Zuki is a great choice!
To center the title, add this CSS in Customize > CSS:
#site-header { width: 100%; max-width: 100%; text-align: center; padding-left: 0; }To adjust the size of the menu links, add this CSS:
#site-nav ul li a { font-size: 80%; }Happy blogging! :)
