CSS Editing

    I have a self hosted WP blog and I have a theme from themeslayout.com installed the blog called Timberdesk. I am trying to modify the CSS to make the header bigger so that I can add some stuff right at the top next to the logo. I want to know what I can do to make everything below the navigation menu move down so I can add stuff to the top part of the blog.

    I tried modifying the CSS but it’s not working. You can check out the blog here http://guitar.grantdeken.com

    I really need help with this.
