CSS for overriding content width on just one page

  I like my theme and design, but I’m looking to make a static home page with a slideshow with large images of 1200px. My theme content is currently 1000px wide and I like that width for the rest of the site, I just want the main page to show wider. Is there a CSS override I can apply to do only this but keep the rest of the theme intact on that page?
