CSS help for Pilcrow theme
-
I just bought the CSS update and am trying to adjust a few things… I have figured out a bit on my own, but there are still some things I can’t seem to figure out how to change.
I would like to…
-change/take away the black box around the home and about pages
-take away the black border around the header
-change the color of links in entries
-where it says “filed under” “tagged as” and the comment number, I would like to change the color of the links/categories (the part that is currently blue)
-the “older posts” is also blue and I would like to change that color
-take away the black and gray box around the footerI would greatly appreciate any feedback/help! Thank you so much!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also, I changed the color of the entry title on the main page, but when you actually click on that entry the color goes back to black. How do you make the color stay the color I want it?
I know this is a lot of questions, I can figure out what to change the CSS to, I just don’t know what each of these items are called on the original stylesheet. Is there somewhere that will tell me what each of the things on the stylesheet mean? I just keep guessing and checking…

For the single post page, change the color code here:
.entry-title { color: #000000; }It looks like some of the things you originally asked for have been taken care of. Could you provide a current list of what is left for us?

Thank you so much!
-taking away the black and gray box at the footer area and then changing the color of the widget names
-Changing the color of the category name and how many comments there are
-Taking away the black box around the home and about us section. I the font to change to underline when you hover over it, not have that black box. -
I’ve looked through your list and will take care of a few things for you right now. On the footer, do the following.
#footer #colophon, #footer .widget ul { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF; } #footer #colophon, #footer #colophon a, #site-generator { color: #000000; }In the second selector you can change the hex code to the color you want. I put black in as a placeholder (000000).
The following will change virtually all link colors.
a { color: #B4C24B; } -
With the footer, it took away the black box, but not the gray box around that. Also, when the gray box went away, you can no longer see the font for the links, how do you change that font color?
I got the link color changed.

When I add the first code I gave you, it takes away the grey and the black backgrounds (makes them white) and the second takes the text in the footer widgets and in the footer credits and makes them black.
Give it another try. Paste what I have above at the end of your CSS.

It works now, thanks!
Now, how do I take off the black lines at the bottom and change the font color for the title of the widgets? (Archives and want to check out our life before the married life?)

This gets rid of the borders in the footer widget area and you can edit the hex color code in the second selector below to change the widget title colors.
#footer, .widget ul { border: medium none; } .widget-title { color: #999999; } -
I really appreciate all of your help. I have never done any of this before, so I will take all of the help I can get. Thanks.

I do not. However, I did figure out how to use the custom menus to accomplish what I am looking to do. Do you know of any way to add links to that menu, or is that part of the upgrade?
Thank you!

I think I figured it out. For every post/page created, those posts/pages can be made into menu items. Am I correct? I am new to this so it has taken some time to figure it all out.

@alcordero
Your question is off-topic for this thread but I will answer it this one time. CSS editing and custom menus are not related issues. There is no upgrade required for creating a custom menu. The instructions for adding custom links to a custom menu are found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-linksIn the future, when you cannot find threads on the same topic on the board or you cannot find answers in the forum searchbox threads, please start your own thread. :) https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1
