css stands for cascading style sheets
CSS is used by both the authors and readers of web pages to define colors, fonts, layout, and other aspects of document presentation.
It is designed primarily to enable the separation of document content (written in HTML or a similar markup language) from document presentation (written in CSS).
This separation can improve content accessibility, provide more flexibility and control in the specification of presentational characteristics, and reduce complexity and repetition in the structural content.
CSS can also allow the same markup page to be presented in different styles for different rendering methods, such as on-screen, in print, by voice (when read out by a speech-based browser or screen reader) and on braille-based, tactile devices.
Similarly, identical HTML or XML markup can be displayed in a variety of styles, ‘brands’, liveries or color schemes by using different CSS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascading_Style_SheetsThere are some threads in the css customization forum that will be useful to you. Yo devblog .. I thought I was operating in a void *lol*.
I hope everyone understands that I’m merely a “parrot”. I don’t have any experience working with css. I’m not in the least technical or geeky but I have a good memory and I’m becoming a better information hunter and retriever every day. :D

Some of the code you will see is beyond the basics, but it does illustrate the difference and this site is worth a browse anyway.

The XHTML is exactly the same on every design.
The CSS makes it look as it does. -
By the way, on my main blog, I have a small tutorial on how to create a simple css layout. It might help ehan to create something simple without having to code that much ;)
