CSS in Ever After theme
-
Good evening. Thank you for yesterday’s help. Made things quite clear.
My new questions are these:* How can I change the header font colour in the “Ever After” theme using CSS? In particular, just the white fonts in the aqua ribbon, right below the “Swing in Greece” title.
* If the Ever After theme only supports one menu, as it is mentioned during customization process, then how can I create custom and drop down menus? Isn’t this possible with this theme?
Thank you very much.

Hiya,
No problem at all. Glad we can be a help!
How can I change the header font colour in the “Ever After” theme using CSS? In particular, just the white fonts in the aqua ribbon, right below the “Swing in Greece” title.
You can customise your site’s fonts and style with the Custom Design upgrade (which you have!) – Details are at: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
To edit the CSS, navigate to: Appearance > Custom Design on your site’s dashboard:
http://swingingreece.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-designYou will see that I have included the following code:
#site-description { color:black; }which changes the font colour to black! To choose a different colour, all you need to do is replace ‘black’ with the ‘Color Hex’ value of the one you want from the following link:
http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_colors.asp
(hint: ‘red’ is: #FF0000)
If the Ever After theme only supports one menu, as it is mentioned during customization process, then how can I create custom and drop down menus? Isn’t this possible with this theme?
You can still customise the primary menu, and add in different levels. To do this, edit your menus under the following link:
https://swingingreece.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php
To create drop-down menu items, add the link that you want, and then drag it underneath the top level menu item that you want. You’ll see that it is displayed indented in the menu bar. Once you save the changes, you’ll notice that when you hover over the relevant menu item, it now drops down to display those nested underneath it.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
