css in Selecta for fonts
-
Hi, I’m trying to use the custom fonts (I’ve purchased the design upgrade) to change some of the fonts and sizes in my Selecta blog. It’s easy to change them all at once, but is there a way to selectively choose fonts using css? I’d also like to try fonts not included in the drop down list; is that possible?

You can use a font stack, but you are limited to common fonts which are installed on other people’s computers. To learn how font stacks work, see http://unitinteractive.com/blog/2008/06/26/better-css-font-stacks/

There is not a way for you to add additional fonts to the drop down list in the Appearance > Custom Design > Fonts panel. We are looking into adjusting those fonts in the future, but it may be a while before that happens.
There is another option that you can use, which is to connect an external Typekit account which you have setup via http://typekit.com/ Once your account there is created and connected using the instructions at the following help page, you can add fonts from the entire Typekit library according to Typekit’s instructions:

It’s good to talk about these options in the forums. I also like to make notes about specific font suggestions too, so reply back here with links if you find any specific ones you really like.
